My boss and I are collectors and we were talking about some of the harder Hotwheels to get. A few minutes later I’m dicking around on Ebay and find a 5-pack of Ferrari LaDumbnames and other rarer Hotwheels. He covered the shipping expenses and I gave him the three you see here. I took the other two for me and my dad. Whole thing was a $16 purchase, which was the best deal I could find, really. Hotwheels only got to make these one year and they were gone. You should see what an R8 from them runs ya.

Also picked up a Jeep Scrambler. That was cool.

Wait, these are rare? They had dozens not all that long ago at the walmart by where I went to college. I didn’t get one because I’m really not that interested in the ferrari laferrari... but yeah.

They were produced only in ‘14. If they’re not nessisarly rare now, they’re gonna be down the road. That R8 I meantioned earlier was only produced in (I think) ‘11, and today there’s Ebay retailers asking up to $70 for one.

Wow. 2014 sounds about right for the time they had a ton. Too bad I didn’t pick any up, by the sound of it they may be worth some decent money before too long!

The other two of the Hypercar trifecta came and went that year too, I belice. I haven’t seen any P1s or 918s around, which sucks because the 918 is the one I need to complete the three.

I think a friend of mine has a 918, but it’s out of the package and he probably wouldn’t want rid of it anyways
